Early Intervention Colorado

Early Intervention Colorado and Inspiration Field coordinate a variety of funding sources for services available for children with developmental delays and their families. This program connects families with early intervention services such as: occupational, speech or physical therapy to help infants and toddlers grow and develop and help their families in this process. This program serves children 0-3 years and their families. More information about Early Intervention Colorado can be found at their website.

Family Support Services Program (FSSP)

The Family Support Services Program offers services and support to families that have a family member with a developmental disability living in the home. This program provides a number of supports within funding limitations, based on needs prioritized by each family. Limited funding is available to access services and supports related to the individual’s disability.

Children's Extensive Supports (CES)

The Children’s Extensive Supports Waiver program provides Medicaid funded services and support to children with cognitive/developmental disabilities or developmental delays who have the most intensive behavioral and/or medical needs. In addition to the State Medicaid health coverage, other services and supports that may be available include: personal assistance services, professional services, behavioral services and home modifications. This program is for children 0-18 years old.

Home and Community Based Services (HCBS)

Home and Community Based Services, for children 0-18, make a child eligible for Medicaid based on their medical needs, not family income. Children receive State Medicaid health care coverage and Case Management services. Children do not have to have a cognitive /developmental disability diagnosis to be eligible for this program.
